Subject:
Dresden Station Units 1, 2 and 3 Quad-Cities Station Units 1 and 2 Zion Station Units 1 and 2 NRC Proposed Standardized Radiation Protection Training for NRC Staff NRC Docket Nos. 50-10/237/249, 50-254/265, and 50-295/304.
Reference (a):
October 2, 1979 letter from W. P.
Gammill to All Power Reactor Licensees
Dear Mr. Gammill:
Referente (a) r~quested Commonwealth Edison Company to review and accept a course in Radiation Safety to be presented by Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) to members of the NRC Staff in lieu of the lengthy radiation training at each licensee site.
Commonwealth Edison has reviewed the seminar outline of Reference (a) and agrees that the proposed program would minimize the time to process NPC inspectors yet still ensuring proper indoctrination through training on site specific items.
Therefore, Commonwealth Edison accepts the NRC Staff's proposed program.
However, in order to develop the site specific training, Commonwealth Edison requests the NRC Staff to provide a more specific outline of the training course.
Very truly yours, D. L. *Peoples Director of Nuclear Licensing s o o i n 3 o Sl/1
