QUALITYASSURANCE PROGRAM CHANGE, SUSQUEHANNA STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS. MA3420 AND MA3421)
Dear Mr. Byram:
By letter dated August 18, 1997, as supplemented August 12, 1998, you requested NRC approval of proposed changes to the Susquehanna Steam Electric.Station, Units 1 and 2, Quality Assurance Program Description (QAP) in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(a)(3).
The proposed changes relate to previously approved provisions regarding the Quality Assurance organizational structure and the qualifications of the Manager-Nuclear Quality Assurance.
We have reviewed your submittal in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(a), and have determined that the proposed QAP changes, which constituted reductions in commitments, are acceptable as the QAP continues to meet the requirements of Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50. The NRC staff's safety evaluation of your proposed change is enclosed.
