(PREDECISIONAL ENFORCEMENT CONFERENCE)
Dear Mr. Byram:
A predecisional enforcement conference was held at the NRC Region
I Office, King of
Prussia, Pennsylvania,
on March 21, 1997.
The matters discussed
involved your
assessment
of the nature and cause of apparent violations at the Susquehanna
Steam
Electric Station, regarding the alignment of safety-related
equipment and the accuracy of
plant records documenting completion of certain plant activities. The conference was
closed to members of the public because
the apparent violations involved investigation
findings of willfulness. The conference was tape recorded and copies of the recording
were placed in the Public Document Room as attachments to NRC Meeting Report 50-387;
388/97-05.
We have subsequently
determined that a short period of the original recording was not
duplicated onto the docketed copies due to inadvertent error by the processing technicians.
Therefore, an errata description and tape recording of the omitted discussion
are attached
herein as an addendum to the original meeting report.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter
and its attachments
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
