COMBINED INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-387/93-17 AND 50-388/93-17
This letter refers to the announced
inspection, intended to promote public health and safety,
conducted by Mr. Robert A. McBrearty of this office on October 12-14, 1993, at the
Susquehanna
Steam Electric Station of activities authorized by NRC License Nos. NPF-14
and NPF-22.
The results of this inspection were discussed with Mr. G. Stanley and others
of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
This inspection was directed toward the inservice inspection program and related activities,
and consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative
records, interviews
with personnel,
and observations by the inspector.
These inspections are used to determine
that programs you have in place to detect degradation,
satisfy your commitments and
regulatory requirements.
Generally, we found your program implementation satisfactory.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I inspection report
which is enclosed with this letter.
Within the scope of this inspection, the inservice inspection examinations and related
procedures were found to be in accordance with the applicable codes, standards,
and NRC
regulations.
