50-387/92-17 AND 50-388/92-17
Enclosed is the report of the inspection intended to promote public health and safety
conducted by Leonard Cheung of this office on June 22-26, 1992, of activities at the
Susquehanna
Steam Electric Station, Units
1 & 2.
These activities are authorized by NRC
Operating Licensee Nos. NPF-14 and NPF-22.
Discussions of our findings were held by
Mr. Cheung with Mr. G. Stanley and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection on June 26, 1992.
Specific areas examined during this inspection included the surveillance tests of safety related
instruments and the instrument setpoint change program at Susquehanna,
and are described in
the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter.
Within these areas,
the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative
records,
interviews with personnel,
and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
One previously identified
unresolved item was closed.
