PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT - SCHEDULE CONFIRMATION OF INITIAL LICENSE REEXAMINATION FOR AUGUST 2017
Dear Mr. Arnone:
In a letter dated May 30, 2017, (PNP 2017-039), your staff requested we schedule an initial license operator reexamination in August 2017. We have tentatively scheduled the requested reexamination to occur during the week of August 7, 2017. On-site validation of the reexamination will tentatively occur at the beginning of that same week, August 7, 2017. In the unlikely event that we are unable to support the reexamination during the scheduled week, we will inform you immediately upon discovery of such conditions and make arrangements to administer the reexamination at a mutually acceptable date.
We understand that one Senior Reactor Operator Instant applicant will be participating in the reexamination, and that your staff will develop the reexamination. Please inform us at your earliest opportunity if you discover you need to change the scheduled date for the reexamination.
A supplementary letter will be sent to your training department approximately 45 days prior to the reexamination. The letter will outline the examination security expectations, list the materials required by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to conduct the reexamination, and reconfirm the reexamination dates. If you have any questions concerning this information, please contact Mr. Michael Bielby of my staff at 630-829-9762.
