and to the discussions

of our findings held by Mr. Kottan

with Mr. G. Stanley

and others of your staff at the conclusion of the

inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection

are described

in the

NRC Region I

Inspection

Report which is enclosed with this letter.

Within these

areas,

the

inspection consisted

of selective

examinations

of procedures

and representative

records,

interviews with personnel,

and observations

by the inspector.

In addition,

our Mobile Laboratory was also brought to your site

and used

by

the inspector

to make certain

independent

measurements.

The basic purpose of

these

independent

measurements

is to verify your capability for analyzing

radioactive effluents,

and to achieve

and maintain comparable

methods of

analyses

between your facility and the

NRC.

The complete data

from these

measurements will be reported

in a subsequent

inspection report.

Within the

scope of this inspection,

you had in place

an effective program for

measuring radioactivity concentrations

in process

and effluent samples.

No

violations were observed.
