Combined Inspection Report Nos. 50-387/91-14 and 50-388/91-14
An announced regional initiative radwaste/transportation
inspection of the Susquehanna
Steam Electric Station (SSES) Spent Fuel Pool Cleanout Project (SFPCP) was conducted
on August 20-21, 1991.
The inspection focused on the witnessing of radwaste Type B
shipments.
Areas covered in this inspection included a review of previously identified
items associated with the Project, NQA surveillance reports relative to the SFPCP, and
the review of two (2) irradiated reactor hardware radwaste shipments with respect to
applicable NRC and DOT regulations.
The cask loading and shipping preparation
activities were conducted within the regulatory framework in an efficient manner.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified.
