R. Butler, dated May 30, 1991 The staff has completed its review of the PP&L submittals referenced above concerning the action plan to resolve Jet Impingement issues at Susquehanna, Units 1 and 2.
Enclosed is our safety evaluation of the information in the submittals.
We find the action plan and the associated completion schedule to be acceptable.
The staff also reviewed your justification for continued operation of the station until the full implementation of the action plan is complete, and finds such justification to be acceptable.
We request that you submit the final documented results of your efforts for staff review following the implementation of the action plan.
The staff will provide its review findings on the final documented results in a supplemental safety evaluation.
