AND 2 (TACS 74795 AND 74796)

By letters dated October 3, 1989 and February 7, 1991, Pennsylvania Power and Light Company responded to the subject generic letter for the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2.

Your response indicated that activities required to address the issues discussed in the generic letter either have, been performed or will be implemented in accordance with the schedule included in your February 7, 1991 letter.

Since a detailed technical review of your response to the issues covered by GL 89-04 has not been

'erformed, approval of your inservice testing program is neither intended nor implied; however, your confirmation does provide an adequate basis to consider the staff's review of your response to the GL complete.

Within 30 days following the completion of each of the scheduled

actions, you are requested to confirm their implementation to the NRC.
