SUBJECT:
SUMMARY
OF 5TH DIESEL GENERATOR MFETING HELD ON APRIL 16, 1986 On April 16, 1986, representatives of the Pennsylvania Power and Light Company (PP&L) met with the NRC staff in Bethesda, Maryland.
The principal purpose of this meeting was to allow PP&L to present information pertaining to their recently requested Technical Specification change which would allow the 5th diesel generator and all its supporting equipment and surrounding buildings to become an acceptable part of the Susquehanna facility and to allow the fifth diesel to operate as a manual swing spare for any of the four existing diesels.
As a result of PP&L's presentation the staff raised several questions which will result in a need for PP&L to provide the staff with additional information in order to facilitate a review.
By separate correspondence the NRC staff will describe, in detail>the information needed and any sch'eduler impacts resulting from any delay in receiving this additional information.
