ORDER (Granting SEA Petition for Extension of Time)
In.our.Memorandum and Order of November 12, 1980, establishing a
new discovery schedule for health and safety issues, we provided for answers to discovery requests on Contention 6 (relating to the Applicants'roposed emergency plan) to be filed by January '16, 1981, or within 15 days following service by the Applicants of their revised emergency plan (whichever is later).
Referring to the complexities of a plan that has taken months, or years, to
- prepare, Susquehanna Environmental Advocates (SEA), an intervenor in this operating license proceeding, on December 13, 1980 filed a petition which seeks an additional 45 days (or a total of 60 days following service of the plan) within which to respond to the discovery requests on Contention 6. It seeks such extension on behalf of all intervenors.

The Applicants forwarded their revised emergency plan to intervenors (including SEA) on December 19, 1980.
Taking into account mailing time for the plan, SEA's proposed 60-day response time would require the filing of discovery responses by February 23, 1981.
The Applicants do not object to SEA's requested extension (although they compute the response period somewhat differently).
No other party has responded to SEA's petition.
Good cause having been demonstrated, and in accordance with 10 CFR 5 2.711, it is this 2 nd day of January, 1981 ORDERED That SEA's petition is ~ranted.
The time within which all intervenors may respond to discovery requests on Contention 6 is extended
.o February 23, 1981.
