Dear Mr. Heacock:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (Commission) has issued the enclosed Amendment 220 to Facility Operating License No. DRP-43 for Kewaunee Power Station (KPS). The amendment is in response to your License Action Request (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML15261A2236) dated September 14, 2015.
The amendment revises the Operating License and associated Technical Specifications to reflect removal of all KPS spent nuclear fuel from the spent fuel pool and its transfer to dry cask storage within an Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. Notice of Issuance will be included in the Commissions biweekly Federal Register notice.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) § 2.390 of the NRCs Agency rules of practice and procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
