TWO AFFIDAVITS BY GAP (BOARD NOTIFICATION NO.84-116)

In accordance with NRC procedures for Board Notifications the enclosure is provided for your information.

The enclosure is a letter from Thomas Devine, of the Government Accountability Project (GAP) to Hans Schierling (NRC),

dated May 31, 1984.

The letter makes reference ot a meeting between NRC staff and Mr. Devine.

At his request the date of that meeting,has been deleted.

The letter includes two affidavits, one by Thomas Devine and the second by Richard D. Parks (GAP).

The affidavits submit allegations, including supporting documentation received by GAP from anonymous individuals.

The allegations relate to bolt installation practices and to the seismic qualification of a RHR pump recirculation valve and its associated hanger.

By copy of this memorandum the Appeal Board and the parties to the Diablo Canyon proceeding are being provided the same information.
