Dear Sir or Madam:
By letter dated September 1, 2016 (Reference 1), Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy) requested an amendment to revise Technical Specification 3/4.3.2 for Waterford 3. This amendment was requested to revise the notation for Table 4.3-2, Engineered Safety Features Actuation System Instrumentation Surveillance Requirements. Per Reference 3, Entergy provided response to the NRC Request for Additional Information (Reference 2) on January 26, 2017. Per Reference 4, Entergy provided a supplement to the license amendment request on February 27, 2017.
In light of discussions with the NRC on March 2 and 3, 2017, Entergy has elected to withdraw the proposed license amendment request.
This letter contains no new commitments.
