STN 50-498, STN 50-499 January 19, 2017 NOC-AE-17003435 Response to NRC Security Reactive Inspection Report 05000498/2016407, 05000499/2016407, EA-16-250 The purpose of this letter is to confirm the actions STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) is taking in response to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Reactive Inspection Report 05000498/2016407, 05000499/2016407 dated January 10, 2017(ML1701 OA211 ). STPNOC verbally notified Mr. Mark Haire, Plant Support Branch Chief on January 19, 2017 that STPNOC is not requesting a Regulatory Conference on this matter, and will not be submitting a written response. STPNOC understands that by declining to submit a written response or to arrange a Regulatory Conference, the preliminary assessment of significance will become final.
There are no regulatory commitments contained in this letter.
