SUBJECT:

ACRS REVIEW OF COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNITS l AND 2 SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT SUPPLEMENTS 7 THROUGH 11

Dear Mr. Dircks:

During its 305th meeting, September 12-14, 1985, the ACRS discussed the efforts of the NRC Staff to evaluate and resolve the technical concerns and allegations, and the quality assurance and quality control issues raised in conjunction with construction practices at the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2. We have considered Supplements 7 through 11 addressing these matters. We believe that the actions being taken by the NRC Staff are appropriate.

Sincerely, David A. Ward Chairman
