UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 December 23, 2016 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) recognizes the concerns that you have raised regarding the existing and proposed natural gas pipelines at Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3. We have concluded that answers to the concerns raised in your November 30, 2016 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML16336A729), letter to Mr. Rao Tammara have been provided to you in previous correspondence.
We recognize that your views on the adequacy of previous analyses and evaluations differ from the views of the NRC staff. However, no new information has been provided to the NRC that would change our overall assessment of safety at Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3, nor require implementation of other NRC processes beyond those already convened.
