SUBJECT:
SUBCOMMITTEE COMMENTS ON HIGH LEVEL WASTE REPOSITORY During a meeting on December 19-20, 1984, the ACRS Waste Management Subcommittee met with the NRC Staff to discuss staff efforts in reviewing the upcoming application of the U.S. Department of Energy for a license to construct a high level waste repository. During this meeting, the Subcommittee prepared a summary report of its observations and comments.
During its 297th meeting on January 10-12, 1985, the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards considered this report and approved the forwarding of a copy to you for consideration by the NRC Staff.
