Ken Campbel'1 of the USCiS, met with PGIIE staff and consultants on December 16, 1986 to discuss the status of. the ground motion modelling studies performed by PGIlE and by the NRC consultant.
The meeting, notice and list of attendees are attached as" Enclosures 1 and 2, respectively.
The staff's comments on the presentation by PGEE and by Dr. Campbell are a'ttached
's Enclosure 3.
The viewgraphs used at the meeting by PGIWE and Dr. Campbell are included as Enclosures 4 and 5, respectively.
'At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Tsai (PG8E) provided the staff with in-formation on two recent earthquakes, the first near, Humboldt Bay (48 kilometers SW of the Humboldt site) on November 21, 1986 with magnitude 5.1, the second near Morro Bay (20 kilometers NNW of the Diablo Canyon site) on December 7,
1986 with magnitude 2.9.
