PG&E in Res onse to NRC Notice of Violation Inquiry CLOSED without further action as OI found that the licensee and/or the contractor did not supply false information to the NRC.

Falsification of Resumes Investigation disclosed that RV staff had previously inspected the same allegation and concluded that the QC inspectors were qualified in accordance with commitments made by PG&E.

5-83-017 (Alle ation No. 0281 ATS No. RV-84-A-057 Intimidation of C Ins ectors Alleger refused to provide specific information until such time as the union resolved his termination by PPP for excessive tardiness and never re-contracted OI:RV as requested.
This inquiry is CLOSED due to lack of specific information.

(Alle ation No. 0053 ATS No. RV-83-A-039 Falsification of Weldin Examinations OI, interviewed 9 welders and examined welder qualification and certification records and determined that there was no apparent wrongdoing in matters over which the NRC exercises regulatory authority.

The inquiry disclosed that the incident was reported to the PG&E hotline and subsequently; inves'tigated by'G&E.
The investigation determined that the actions of the Bechtel supervisor. were 'not in accordance with acceptable construe'tion p'ra~ctices.
PG&E formally requested that the supervisor be removed 'from the gob site 'and the request was honored by Bechtel.
Also, the technical problems addressed by the allegers in their hotline complaint were resolv'ed, as was the issue of a "Thermolag Request".
1 A review of the actions of PG&E resulted in the determination that no further action concerning.the matter by"OI:RV was appropriate.

Alle ed Weldin and ualit Assurance Problems OX supplied information to RV from two'al Poly professors who had concerns regarding the quality of welding and other quality assurance problems related to them by their students who had worked at Diablo Canyon.

This Allegation No. 0993, currently under review by LLNL.
