Darrell G. Eisenhut, Director Division of Licensing Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation INFORMATION ITEMS REGARDING THE DESIGN VERIFICATION PROGRAM FOR DIABLO CANYON, UNIT 1 (Board Notification No.82-128)
In accordance with present NRC procedures for Board Notifications, the following items are enclosed for information of the Commission:
1.
PG&E letter to D. G. Eisenhut, dated December 2, 1982, regarding the PG&E estimated schedule for fuel loading, low power testing and full power operation.
2.
PG&E letter to D.
G. Eisenhut, dated December 3, 1982, regarding the PG&E request for restoration of the low power license and stepwise licensing schedule to full power.
3.
Teledyne Engineering Services letter to D. G. Eisenhut, dated December 6, 1982, regarding the IDVP concurrence with the PG&E request identified in Item (2) above.
Item 1 had previously been provided to the Commission by memorandum of December 6,
1982 from W. J. Dircks, Executive Director for Operations.
Item 2 had previously been provided to the Commission directly by PG&E as stated in the submittal.
The three enclosures provide information on the PG&E proposed three step process for licensing of Diablo Canyon Unit 1 and the associated schedule including comments by Teledyne as the IDVP flanager.
The information.is relevant to Commission Order CLI-81-30 which suspended the Diabld Canyon Unit 1 fuel load/low power license.
