In accordance with pr esent NRC procedures for Board Notifications, the following is enclosed for. information of the Commission:

Interim Technical Report - 8, "Verification Program for PGKE Corrective Action," by R. L. Cloud Associates, dated October 5, 1982.

Interim Technical Report - 8 presents the IDVP program to respond to and verify the PGBE corrective actions with respect to structures, systems and components required for fuel load, for the remainder of Phase I and for Phase II.

The information in the enclosure is relevant to the safety issue on the design adequacy of Diablo Canyon Unit 1.

This is the'subject of Commission Order DLI-81-30, which is the basis for the IDVP.
