Dear Mr. Hendrie:
~, i
~
As you will recall, I have on several occassions written you regarding the effects of the Three Mile Island accident on the licensing procedure at the Diablo Canyon Plant in my District.
Since our previous correspondence you have publicly stated that the Commission will delay plant licensing until an evaluation of the issues raised by the President's Commission on Three Mile Island have been reviewed.,
Specifically, these issues involve population sitinc" remoteness, operator safety and the adeauacy of evacuation plans.
I would like to know how this delay will effect licensing at Diablo and whether or not you have a pro-jected time framework for contination of the Diablo Canyon Plant licensing procedure?
Sincerely, M mb o
