In accordance with NRC procedures for Board Notifications the enclosure is provided for your information.
The enclosure is the transcript of an open meeting of the ACRS Subcommittee on Extreme External Phenomena and the Diablo Canyon Subcommittee which was held on May 24, 1984 in Los Angeles, California.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the following two matters described in the memorandum of April 13, 1984 from Chairman Palladino to Jesse
- Ebersole, Chairman of the ACRS, (1) proposed license condition for a seismic design bases revalidation program and (2) geological information that recently became available ("Crouch Paper" ).
Presentations on both matters were made by the NRC staff and the licensee.
In addition, statements were made by some private citizens.
At the conclusion of the meeting ACRS consultants commented on the presentations.
A full ACRS meeting was scheduled for June 14, 1984.
By copy of this memorandum the Appeal Board and the parties to the Diablo Canyon proceeding are provided the same information.
