In accordance with the NRC procedures for Board Notification the enclosed information is provided to the Board.
The enclosure is a letter from Chairman Palladino to Congressman Markey dated January 9,
1984 which provides a report from the Executive Director of Operations on matters related to the guality Assurance Case Study C for the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.
The report itself has four enclosures, one of which (Enclosure 4)
- contains, as Attachments A through F,
a comparison between the draft and final version of Case Study C and comments on the draft version made by members of the team which performed the study.
The Case Study C Draft Working Paper and the Revised Draft Working Paper (i.e.
Final Draft) were previously provided to the Commission and to the Boards under Board Notifications83-135 (September 2, 1983) and 83-135A (October 14, 1983), respectively.
These documents were introduced by the Joint Intervenors and the staff, respectively, at the hearing on design quality assurance in November 1983.
This Board Notification with its entire enclosure is provided to the parties of the Diablo Canyon proceedings for information.
The staff does not intend to take any further specific action regarding this information.
