CLOUD ASSOCIATES REGARDING NRC MEETING WITH PG&E ON JANUARY 31, 1984 (BOARD NOTIFICATION NO.84-029

In accordance with NRC procedures for Board Notifications the enclosed information is provided to the Commission.
The enclosure is a submittal by R. L. Cloud Associates addressing the preliminary NRC staff concerns on small bore piping and supports that were raised at the NRC meeting with Pacific Gas
& Electric Company on January 31, 1984.
This meeting was the subject of Board Notification 84-025.
The matter of small bore piping and supports is currently under review by the staff and is the subject of certain allegations that have been included in the staff's Diablo Canyon Allegation Management Program as described in SSER 21.
The staff is continuing its review and evaluationof the matter of small bore piping and supports and will inform you of the results of our evaluation in a future SER Supplement.
By copy of this memorandum we are also informing the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board, the Atomic Safety and Licensing Appeal Board and the parties to the proceeding.
