Eisenhut, Director Division of Licensing INFORMATION ITEM (TRANSCRIPT OF 12/15/83 MEETING) REGARDING THE DIABLO CANYON NUCLEAR - POWER PLANT (Board Notification No.83-193) 1 In accordance with NRC procedures for Board Notification, the following information is being transmitted directly to the Commission.
Transcript of NRC Meeting on December 15, 1983 with Pacific Gas Electric Company regarding small bore piping.
The meeting had been requested by the-licensee as a result of -inspections by NRC Region V on the subject.
A representative of GAP was present at the meeting The information discussed at the meeting will be considered by the staff in formulating its recommendation regarding reinstatement of the tlow power license which was suspended by Commission Order CLI-81-30.
The information is relevant to the safety issue on the design adequacy.of Diablo Canyon, Units 1 and 2.
By copy of this memorandum we are also informing the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board and the Atomic Safety and Licensing Appeal Board.
