In accordance with the procedures for Board Notifications the enclosed letter, with attachment, from Mr. Harold Hudson to Commissioner Gilinsky is being provided to the Commission for information.
The information was provided to Commissioner Gilinsky by memorandum (copy enclosed) from D. F. Kirsch and was received by the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation by memorandum (copy enclosed) from J.
K. Joosten to H.
R. Denton.
The information is the second submittal by Mr. Hudson.
The first submittal, dated November 14, 1983, was issued as Board Notification No.84-009.
Mr. Hudson is a former gA Inspector for Pul,lman Power Products, a main construction contractor for the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.
Mr. Hudson alleges guality Assurance deficiencies in the ultrasonic measurment of reactor coolant pressure boundary valves for minimum wall thickness requirements.
The staff has initiated its review and evaluation of the allegations and has included this effort in its Diablo Canyon Allegations Management Program.
We will inform you of the results of our evaluation.
