Darrell G. Eisenhut, Director Division of Licensing DIABLO CANYON - ALLEGATIONS CONCERNING PULLMAN POWER PRODUCTS (Board Notification No.84-009)
In accordance with the procedures for Board Notifications the enclosed letter, dated November 14, 1984, with attachment from Harold Hudson to Commissioner Gilinsky is being provided to the Commission for information.
The letter was received by this office from the Office of Investigations on December 19, 1983.
Mr. Hudson is a former gA Inspector for Pullman Power Products, a main construction contractor for the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.
Mr. Hudson alleges deviations from Pullman Power Products weld procedures and certain major break downs in PGSE contract specifications and gA programs for the welding of pipe supports and pipe rupture restraints by Pullman Power Products at Diablo Canyon.
The staff has initiated its review and evaluation of the allegations and has included this effort in its Diablo Canyon Allegations Management Program.
The staff did not report on the allegations by Mr. Hudson in its recent report on allegations (SSER-21, dated January 4, 1984).
We will inform you of the results of our evaluation.
