Saltiuel J. Chilk Secretary to the Commission William J. Dircks Executive Director for Operations STATUS OF DIABLO CANYON REVERIFICATION PROGRAM NOVEMBER, 1983 In response to your request of July, 1983, we are providing the November status of the Diablo Canyon reverification program as follows:
o Staff is currently completing review of the resolution of remaining open issues.
o Staff will continue to issue SER supplements discussing resolution of remaining open issues prior to a decision regarding reinstatement of the low power license to permit operation to 5K power.
o Hearings on Design guality Assurance were started October 31, 1983, and are expected to conclude during the week of November 21, 1983.
Since, the low power license was reinstated on November 8, 1983, to permit fuel loading and subcritical testing and since the IDVP effort is essentially
- complete, the staff proposes to not issue any additional such status reports.
