In accordance with present NRC procedures for Board Notifications, the following items are enclosed for information of the Commission:

Memorandum from H.",Polki to G. Lear, "Trip Report for IDVP/PGItE Technical Interchange Meeting on Di'ablo Canyon in Boston, May 12, 1983," dated June 30, 1983.

At the meeting various aspects of the seismic analysis of the containment building, turbine building and control room were discussed.

These. analyses will be addressed by the IDVP and by the Diablo Canyon Project in >their Final Reports.

The meeting was a follow-up of a meeting on the same subject on June 17, 1983 (Board Notification 83-87).

BNL. as>staff consultant presented results of further analyses and identified concerns and inconsistenciesin the IFGInE analys,es, including representation of physical conditions tin PG&E model, soil properties and material properties for the tank.

Staff requested the IDVP to consider all aspects in the IDVP design verification of buried tanks.
