SUBJECT:
STATUS OF DIABLO CANYON DESIGN VERIFICATION EFFORT Per your request, enclosed is a summary of the status of the Diablo Canyon design verification efforts by PG&E, the IDVP and the staff.
The PG&E analysis of the containment annulus structure and necessary modifications to the structure remain as critical elements in the schedule for fuel load authorization as evidenced by a recent slip in schedule.
In addition, the review of the PG&E corrective actions by the IDVP and the issuance of final reports could lead to additional delays.
