The information provides the status of the Independent Design Verification Program (IDVP) activities for Diablo Canyon Unit 1.

The information is relevant to the Safety issue

'on the design adequacy of Diablo Canyon Unit l.

This is the subject of Commission Order CLI-81-30 which is 'the basis for the IDVP.

The staff is evaluating the information as part of its ongoing review of the IDVP efforts and will report on the results prior to reinstatement of the license.

The material does not pertain to those matters that were resolved by ALAB 644.
