On Friday September 25, meeting held with PG&E to discuss resolution of damaged breakwater.
PG&E stated that they would submit a letter within approximately two weeks detailing the various approaches they would take and a schedule for submittal of reports.
On Friday September 25, Region V informed Licensing that PG&E notified them that they intended to load fuel on Monday September 28.
Issued Daily Highlight on September 25 reflecting this information.
Monday September 28, Region V informed staff that fuel loading was delayed due to PG&E identifying potential deficiency in the seismic design of certain piping systems located within the Diablo Canyon, U>>it 1 containment wall and the crane wall.
By letter dated September 28, PG&E notified the staff and the service list of the above potential deficiency.
Tuesday September 29, conference call between DOL/DOE/IE and PG8E to discuss this seisciic issue in further detail.
PG&E committed to send letter by c.o.b.
September 30 that would provide additional information on this matter.
Meeting between the NRC and PG8E set for Honday October 5.
Board Notification (BN 81-27) on seismic deficiency issued September 29.
Wednesday September 30, Messrs.
Denton, Eisenhut, and Jordan
( I8E) briefed 'the Commissioners on the potential seismic deficiency at Diablo Canyon, Unit 1.
The Chairman requested that they be kept advised on this matter.
Received PG&E letter dated September 30 which provided additional information on seismic issue.
