At approximately 7:30 am, on November 14, 1980, the NRC Resident".Inspector at Diablo Canyon reported to work at, the site.and, replayed automatic telephone recorder which had been activated since the evening of November 13, 1980 to record all incoming telephone calls.

There was one telephone message on the recorder which sounded like a male voice, identity unknown.

The voice was wavering in speaking but the message was "there was a

bomb set to go off". A time was given but could not be correctly understood and is believed to be 7 or 11.; The message continued with "Get those people out of there".

A date was not specified.

The licensee was advised and is conducting a search.

Media interest is not expected and no press release is planned by the licensee or Region V.. The State of California was notified.

Site construction progress is currently reported as 994 Fuel is on site.
