SUN1ARY OF FEBRUARY 6, 19BO 11EETING TO DISCUSS THE LOW POWER TEST PROGRO1 WITH NEAR TERN OPERATING LICENSE APPLICANTS We met with representatives of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Public Service Electric and Gas
- Company, and Virginia Electric and Power Company to discuss matters related to the low power testing program.
A list of attendees is presented in the enclosure.
Significant points discussed are as follows:
1.
The staff presented the Sequoyah LowpPower Test Program arid provided eaoh of the applicants a copy of the question list uIe transiqitted TVA regarding the program.
We also advised the applicants regarding the criteria that a low power test program must follow.
2.
We advised the applicants that we considered it highly probable that a low test power program for their facility will become a licensing requirement.
Therefore, we encouraged each of the applicants to submit a test program.
3.
Each of the applicants indicated that they will provide their intent regarding a test program by the end of this week.
Each applicant also indicated that the program will closely follow Sequoyah's proposed test program.
