GENERAL ELECTRIC - NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION SECURITY INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-73/2016-203
Dear Mr. Feyrer:
On October 3-6, 2016, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC, the Commission) conducted a security inspection at the General Electric Vallecitos Nuclear Center (VNC). The inspection results were discussed on October 6, 2016, with a subsequent re-exit meeting over the phone on November 8, 2016.
The inspection examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to security and compliance with the Commissions rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license.
The inspectors reviewed selected procedures and records, observed activities, and interviewed personnel. Based on the results of this inspection, the NRC has determined that one Severity Level IV violation of NRC requirements occurred. The Notice of Violation was included in the operations inspection report no. 50-73/2016-202 Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML16334A383) and will be tracked in that report.
No response to this letter is required.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Section 2.390, Public Inspections, exemptions and requests for withholding, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRCs document system, ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room). Because of the security-related items contained in the inspection report, and in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(d), a copy of inspection report will not be available for public inspection.
