SUBJECT:

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF FINAL RESPONSE TO CONFIRMATORY ORDER EA-13-068 AND NRC CONFIRMATORY ORDER (EA-13-068) INSPECTION NOTICE

Dear Mr. Hanson:

This acknowledges the receipt of your letter dated October 13, 2016, which provided a written status of your actions to complete the requirements contained in Confirmatory Order EA-13-068, as required by Section V.C of the Confirmatory Order. The Confirmatory Order confirmed commitments made by Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in an Alternate Dispute Resolution session. On May 4, 2015, the Confirmatory Order was relaxed by the NRC to allow EGC until January 15, 2016, and May 31, 2016, to complete the actions required by requirements V.A.2 and V.A.3, respectively.

This letter can be found in Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession Number ML151253A103.

We understand from your letter that you completed all actions as required by Confirmatory Order EA-13-068. We have scheduled a follow-up inspection for November 28 and 29, 2016, at your Dresden Nuclear Power Station. The purpose of the inspection will be to independently confirm completion of the actions and evaluate their effectiveness in resolving the issues specified in the Confirmatory Order.

Exelon is not required to respond to this letter; however, if it chooses to provide a response, the response should not, to the extent possible, include any personal privacy, proprietary, or safeguards information so that it can be made available to the Public without redaction.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.390, Public Inspections, Exemptions, Requests for Withholding, of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter, and your response (if any) will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRCs Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of the NRC's ADAMS.
