DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 -

SCHEDULE CONFIRMATION OF INITIAL LICENSE REEXAMINATION

Dear Mr. Hanson:

In a letter dated November 11, 2016, (SVPLTR #16-0063), your staff requested we schedule an initial license operator reexamination in March 2017. We have tentatively scheduled the requested reexamination to occur during the week of February 27, 2017. On-site validation of the reexamination is tentatively scheduled to occur at the station during the week of February 27, 2017. In the unlikely event that we are unable to support the reexamination during the scheduled weeks, we will inform you immediately upon discovery of such conditions and make arrangements to administer the reexamination at a mutually acceptable date.

As stated in Mr. Pete Karabas letter, your staff will develop the reexamination. Mr. Del Thomas indicated that you are training two candidates for the reexamination. Please inform us if the number of candidates declines as this may impact the reexamination schedule. Please inform us at your earliest opportunity if you discover you need to change the scheduled date for the reexamination.

A supplementary letter will be sent to the training department approximately 90 days prior to the reexamination informing them of the chief examiners name. The letter will also outline examination security expectations, list the materials required by the NRC to conduct the reexamination, reconfirm the reexamination dates, and reconfirm the number of candidates you have in the training program.
