Dear Dr. Kutikkad:

I am responding to your letter dated July 28, 2016, which requested that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) re-approve Truck Route No. 182C, that expired on August 31, 2016. Route 182C was used for transporting spent nuclear fuel (SNF) from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri, to the U.S. Department of Energy's Savannah River Site, Aiken, South Carolina.

The NRC has reviewed your application and concluded that the information you provided on July 28, 2016, with follow up information provided on September 27, 2016, and October 25, 2016, satisfies the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 73.37. This letter constitutes approval. The approved route is now designated as Truck Route No. 182D, and will expire December 31, 2021. The NRC expects your periodic review and update of the emergency phone numbers associated with this route. Changes to emergency contact numbers do not qualify as a route deviation or change.

If you have questions on this route approval or require additional information please contact Mr. Alex Sapountzis at (301) 287-3660, or via e-mail at Alexander.Sapountzis@nrc.gov.

Sincerely,
