ACRS ACTION ON PROPOSED REVISION 2 OF REGULATORY GUIDE 1.100, "SEISMIC QUALIFICATION OF ELECTRIC AND MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT FOR NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS" During our 326th meeting, June 4-6, 1987, the members of the Advisory Commit-tee on Reactor Safeguards discussed a report from our Subcommittee on Re-liability Assurance regarding proposed Revision 2 of Regulatory Guide 1.100, "Seismic Qualification of Electric and Mechanical Equipment for Nuclear Power Plants."

As a result of this discussion, we concur in the NRC Staff's proposal to issue the subject Guide for public comment. After the public comment period, we expect to review the proposed final version of this Guide together with the public comments and the NRC Staff's response to them.
