This letter is submitted to fulfill the 210 day response requirement to Generic Letter 2016-01 :
Monitoring of Neutron Absorbing Materials in Spent Fuel Pools dated April 7, 2016.
Non-Power Reactor Question 1:
Are neutron-absorbing materials used in a reactor pool, fuel storage pool, or other wet locations..
designed for the storage ofreactor or spent fuel?
Response 1:
The UCD/MNRC does not use any neutron-absorbing materials in the reactor pool, fuel storage pools, or any other wet locations for the storage of fuel. Such materials are also not credited in our Safety Analysis Report.
Questions 2 and 3 are not applicable.
