Dear Administrative Judges:

In my letter to the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board of May 12, 2016, I transmitted a copy of the NRC Staffs first quarterly integrated inspection report for Indian Point Units 2 and 3 (IP2 and IP3). In my letter, I noted that the Staff expects to present updated information concerning the baffle-former bolts in its quarterly inspection report for the period of April 1 -

June 30, 2016, to be issued in August 2016.

The NRC Staff (Staff) has now issued its second quarterly integrated inspection report for IP2 and IP3, entitled Indian Point Nuclear Generating - Integrated Inspection Report 05000247/2016002 and 05000286/2016002, dated August 30, 2016 (available at ADAMS Accession No. ML16243A245). A copy of the integrated inspection report is enclosed herewith and is simultaneously being provided to the parties.

The enclosed inspection report addresses NRC inspection activities at IP2 and IP3 during the period of April 1 - June 30, 2016. Issues related to baffle-former bolts are discussed at various places in the report (e.g., pages 3, 7-8, 14-18, 19-20, and 31-34).
