Site: TURKEY POINT Emergency Class: NON EMERGENCY Turkey Point reported discovery of an injured American Crocodile. The injury was non-causal to plant operations.
"Report to Offsite Agencies Regarding Discovery of Injured Crocodile "This 4-hour Non-Emergency notification to the NRC is being made based on notifications to other government agencies per 10CFR50.72(b)(2)(xi).
"On July 28, 2016 at 0844 EDT, the control room was notified of an injured American Crocodile discovered in the Owner Controlled Area. The crocodile injury was caused by contact with an employee vehicle. The Federal Fish and Wildlife Service and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commision were notified on 7/28/2016 at 1037 EDT.
"The licensee notified the NRC Resident Inspector."
