DAMAGE CONTROL EAP-13 REVISION

SUMMARY

22 LIMITED REVISION THIS LIMITED REVISION IS BEING MADE TO PROVIDE ENHANCEMENTS TO THE PROCEDURE WITH RESPECT TO ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS DURING A HOSTILE ACTION BASED EVENT. THESE INCLUDE:

1. Added to step 4.1 note for the emergency director. JAF PERSONNEL BEING DISPATCHED TO THE SITE FROM THE AOSC ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE INCIDENT COMMAND POST PERMISSION AND PASS THROUGH THE COUNTY STAGING AREA ENROUTE TO THE SITE. ESCORTING TO ASSURE PERSONNEL SAFETY IF NECESSARY IS ARRANGED AT THE STAGING AREA. PROVIDES A REMINDER TO THE ED.
2. Revised step 4.3.5 and step 4.4.7 to state: ... the appropriate coordinator (Mech, Elect/IC, Rad/Chem)Damage Control Team Supervisor to: (changed titles consistent with new fleet guidance).
3. Added a note to step 4.3.5.B2, JAF .personnel being dispatched to the site from the AOSC are required to pass through the county staging area enroute to the site.
4. Added new to 4.3.5.B step 3, stating IF the emergency is a HAB and JAF personnel will be dispatched from the AOSC to the site:

THEN: In addition to Attachment 1, complete an Attachment 4, ADDITIONAL ACTIONS FOR HO'STILE ACTION BASED EVENTS, for each team dispatched.

  • Provide a copy of this attachment to the team and retain a copy of this attachment with the Emergency Damage Control Summary Form. Ensure appropriate communications are completed. Renumbered followon steps.
5. Deleted information regarding hostile action based events as this is not contained in Attachment 4.
6. Added Under section 5.0 reference to Attachment 4. ADDITIONAL ACTIONS FOR HOSTILE ACTION BASED EVENTS
7. ADDED TO ATTACHMENT 1 STEP 2- REFERENCE TO ATTACHMENT 4.
8. Added Note On DCT Mission Guide Attachment 3, Step 7, indicating: JAF Personnel being dispatched to the site from the AOSC are required to have Incident Command Post permission and pass through the county staging area enroute to the site.

Escorting, to assure personnel safety if necessary is arranged at the staging area. Provides a reminder to the briefer.
