SUMMARY

OF THE JUNE 9, 2016, OPEN HOUSE PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS NRC ACTIVITIES, NUCLEAR POWER ISSUES, AND 2015 END-OF-CYCLE PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT On June 9, 2016, an open house public meeting was held at the Perry Public Library in Perry, Ohio. The purpose of the open house was to provide an opportunity for the public to discuss NRC activities, nuclear power issues, and performance of Perry Nuclear Power Plant for the period of January 1, 2015, through December 31, 2015. The NRC meeting notice for this open house can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) as ML16133A164. A list of the Open House attendees is attached.

The NRC provided discussions related to the NRCs assessment of the performance of Perry Nuclear Power Plant, which was documented in the March 2, 2016, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML16060A319). As part of this open house, FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company was available to address questions and concerns. Throughout the open house, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of FirstEnergy officials and NRC officials.
