Withdrawal of License Amendment Request (LAR) 15-02, Revise Current Licensing Basis to Allow Use of Equipment Classification Methodology from ANSl/ANS-58.14-2011 (TAC No. MF6721)

The purpose of this letter is to withdraw LAR 15-02 (Reference 1), which the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) had requested to revise the current licensing basis to allow the use of an equipment classification methodology from the American Nuclear Standards Institute/American Nuclear Society (ANSI/ANS) 58.14 2011 at Fort Calhoun Station, Unit No. 1 (FCS).

In Reference 3, the NRC staff requested additional information {RAI), in order to complete its review. In reference 4, OPPD submitted our response to the RAI. We understand that the NRC staff found our response to the questions is incomplete. After further internal discussion, OPPD is withdrawing LAR 15-02 does not expect to pursue the issue with this LAR.
