ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNITS 1 AND 2 TRANSMITTAL OF UPDATED U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS FLOOD HAZARD REEVALUATION INFORMATION (CAC NOS. MF3041 AND MF3042)

Dear Sir or Madam:

The purpose of this letter is to transmit an update to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USAGE) portion of the Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2 (ANO), flood hazard reevaluation (FHR) associated with the assessment of flood hazards due to flooding in streams and rivers, including potential site flooding due to dam failure.

By letter dated March 21, 2016 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML16071A452), the NRC staff transmitted the USAGE FHR to Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy, the licensee). The enclosure to this letter contains an amended EXCEL spreadsheet of 12 hydrographs (time-series stage, velocity, and discharge) with channel velocities added at the ANO site.

As previously noted, Entergy needs to consider the USAGE results for ANO as part of its flood hazard reevaluation report, which is due to the NRC within 180 days (September 17, 2016) of the March 21, 2016, letter (September 17, 2016).

The enclosure to this letter contain Security-Related Information. When separated from the enclosures, this letter is DECONTROLLED.
