Document Request for NRC Inspection of Indian Point Unit 2 Baffle Bolts
- George, Please provide the following documents in support of the upcoming NRC inspection at Indian Point Unit 2 regarding the current baffle bolt replacement project:
Indian Point Unit 2 ten-year in-service inspection program plan Non-destructive examination procedures of the reactor vessel internals o Visual testing (VT-3) of the internals including the baffle bolts o Ultrasonic testing (UT) of the baffle-former bolts Previous non-destructive examination records of the baffle-former assembly and bolts in 2006 (unit 2) and 2009 (unit 3)
Qualification of non-destructive examination personnel and procedures for the baffle-former bolt activities Baffle-former bolt replacement plan o Evaluation for any modifications of the bolt design or material o Procedure for removal and installation of bolts Condition reports and other corrective action documents related to vessel internals inspections over the last ten years Contact List (name and phone number):
o ISI / ASME Section XI Exams Program Manager o Repair and Replacement Program Manager o Baffle-Former Bolt Replacement Lead Also, I would like to conduct an entrance meeting on Wednesday morning sometime between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. I understand that you all will be holding a conference call at 9AM with myself and other NRC staff members to provide an update on the baffle bolt replacements. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the information requested above.
